5 Foods Made From Bodily Fluids!

There are some delicious foods out there, that you’re may be better off not knowing where they come from. These foods are made from all kinds of animal excrement, including human beings. Get ready to be amazed and maybe grossed out.

1.Shellac

Shellac is that resin substance that is rubbed on to chairs, fruit, pottery, fingernails, etc. to make these items shinier. It is produced using the excrement lac, of the Kerria lacca bug that comes from India and Sri Lanka. Shellac is made my soaking the lac secretions in water and sodium carbonate. Then it is used as a glaze for fresh fruits, chocolates, and candy to make them look great.

2.Panda Dung Green tea

The only things pandas eat are the bamboo plant – it’s just their thing. But pandas actually only digest around 30% of the nutrients inside the bamboo. That makes their poop very nutrient rich. This tea actually utilizes that excrement as a fertilizer. You may think it sounds nasty, but it actually produces green tea that has specialized components to stop many cancer problems. It has been shown to give genuine anticancer results.

3.Kopi Luwak

This is the most expensive coffee in the world, hands down. It is robust and fragrant, and the perfect thing for any true café connoisseur. But it might not be for everybody. This coffee is produced by feeding coffee beans to a civet. The civet is very picky and chooses only the best coffee beans, then its digestive system alters the chemical nature of the beans. The civet can’t actually digest the beans, so they pass through its system intact. A farmer collects the excrement, puts the beans in a box, and you make it into coffee in your cup. Delicious.

4. Human Microbe Cheese

This cheese is literally made to be the antithesis of antiseptic foods. Microbes are collected from different parts of the human body and used in the cheese making process. Needless to say, this cheese isn’t actually made to be eaten.

5. Honey

This one may not be a surprise to most – that’s why it’s last on our list. We all love honey; it tastes so good that we sometimes forget how it’s made. It is bee vomit created by worker bees. That is all.
